50 Best Meditation Affirmations To Try

Combining affirmations with meditation is such a beautiful way to bring the mind and body into the same healing practice.

When you meditate, you sit down with intention, you slow down & when you repeat an affirmation, you give your mind something peaceful and supportive to return to, while gently helping yourself move out of old survival patterns and into more creative, empowered ways of thinking and being. In meditation, affirmations can become gentle reminders that guide your inner dialogue toward calm, healing, self trust, and emotional balance.

I love affirmations because they were one of the very first things that started me on my healing journey. They truly became a catalyst for me. And when I began combining them with meditation, that practice helped me shift out of old survival patterns and into a deeper sense of peace within myself.

Of course, personal experience is only one piece of the conversation. What I love is that modern research is beginning to support what many of us have felt in our own practice. Meditation can influence the way we relate to stress, emotions, and the body, while affirmations may help reshape the way we see ourselves and our future.

A review published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that mindfulness meditation programs may help improve anxiety, depression, and pain for some people. Another study on self affirmation found that affirming personal values can activate brain systems connected with self reflection and reward.

If you want to go deeper into the practice, you can also read my article on Integrating Affirmations Into Your Meditation, where I talk more about pairing affirmations with breath, stillness, and emotional safety.

Before You Begin

Before we move into the affirmations, I want you to remember something important.

If this is your first time using affirmations, you do not have to force yourself to believe every affirmation right away. Sometimes an affirmation feels natural right away. Other times, it may feel a little unfamiliar at first. That is completely okay. The goal is not to pressure yourself into instant belief. The goal is to gently introduce new thoughts, new feelings, and a more supportive way of speaking to yourself.

I did my best to create these affirmations in a way that feels believable, gentle, and emotionally safe. They are written to feel encouraging rather than demanding, with a focus on healing, peace, self worth, trust, safety, growth, emotional balance, love, and inner strength.

When you use these affirmations in meditation, try choosing one that feels supportive for where you are today. You can sit with it, breathe with it, and let the words slowly settle into your body instead of rushing to make them mean something right away.

And this is where journaling can become such a beautiful next step. It can help you notice what the affirmation brought up, what your heart is asking for, and what new belief you are learning to practice.

If you want a simple place to begin, you can read my article 10 Journal Prompts To Inspire Your Daily Meditation, where I share prompts that can help you reflect right after meditation while your awareness still feels open and spacious. You may also enjoy 30 Day Gratitude Mantras And Journal Prompts if you want a more structured practice that blends meditation, gratitude, mantras, and journaling.

If you are new to meditation and still learning how to build a practice that feels supportive, you may also enjoy exploring my Intro To Meditation articles. They are a great place to begin if you want more guidance on how to meditate.

Now that you have a way to approach them, let’s move into the affirmations themselves. You can read through the full list, choose the one that speaks to you most, or return to a different affirmation each day depending on what your mind, body, and heart need.

More Helpful tools

You do not need tools to meditate or use affirmations… But tools can certainly help, especially when life gets crazy busy and hectic. I like to think of these kinds of resources as little support systems they can make the inner work easier to return to.

Innertune

One tool I personally like for affirmation practice is Innertune. What I love about it is that it makes affirmations easier to bring into everyday life, especially on the days when sitting down for a full meditation or affirmation practice feels hard.

Because some days life is busy, & your mind is scattered. That is where a tool like Innertune can be supportive. It gives you a simple way to keep affirmations in your routine through affirmation playlists, background beats, different voice options, daily reminders, offline listening, and even the option to record affirmations in your own voice.

That voice recording feature is one of my favorites because it is so much more powerful hearing your own voice speak supportive words back to you. It can make the affirmation feel more real, more intimate, and more connected to the person you are becoming.

I also love the reminder feature because consistency is where affirmations begin to become more than pretty words. Over time, those small repeated moments can help you return to the beliefs, emotions, and inner dialogue you are intentionally practicing.

If you want to learn more about using it alongside your meditation practice, I wrote a deeper guide here: How To Use Innertune For Meditation.

BetterSleep

Another tool I like recommending is BetterSleep, especially if you find it easier to meditate with calming sounds or soft meditation music in the background. I personally use this app for the meditation music because it helps me create an atmosphere that feels peaceful and supportive.

The app offers guided meditations, relaxing soundscapes, sleep stories, hypnosis tracks, and a sound mixer that lets you create your own calming atmosphere. You can blend different sounds and adjust the volume so your meditation space feels more personal and soothing.

I think it fits beautifully with meditation because rest is such an important part of healing. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is give your body enough support to finally relax, and feel safe in the present moment.

Final thoughts

Combining affirmations with meditation can be such a powerful way to support your healing journey and take your inner work to a deeper level.

I always say affirmations are a beautiful tool, but they are even more powerful when you allow them to work alongside other healing practices. For me personally, some of the tools that have supported me along with meditation and affirmations are:

  • Journaling/Releasing Work
  • Stretching
  • Online Therapy
  • Dance
  • Breathwork
  • Sound therapy
  • Art therapy

All of these have been so meaningful and beneficial in my own journey. That is why I encourage you to build your own healing toolbox. Fill it with practices that help you feel grounded, supported, safe, creative, and connected to yourself.

And of course, while all these healing tools can be incredibly supportive, they are not meant to replace professional medical or mental health support when that support is needed.
